Terms of Service

Last updated: 23 June 2026

Please read these terms carefully — they form a legal agreement between you and us about your use of eyerobin. We've tried to keep them short and in plain English. If anything is unclear, email us at [email protected] and we'll be glad to help.

1. Who we are

eyerobin ("the Service", "we", "us", "our") is operated by eyerobin. The best way to reach us about these terms is by email at [email protected].

2. About these terms

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service. Where you use the Service as a consumer, nothing in these terms takes away the legal rights you have under the laws of England and Wales — see section 11.

3. What the Service does

eyerobin monitors web pages on your behalf and notifies you when it detects a change. It's a helper tool — not a system of record. Detection can be delayed, incomplete, or affected by changes on the pages you monitor or by third-party services we rely on. You should independently check anything important before acting on it.

4. Your account and eligibility

The Service is currently offered by invitation. You must be at least 18 years old to use it. You agree to give accurate information when you sign up, to keep your password confidential, and to let us know promptly if you think someone else has accessed your account. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Break any applicable law or regulation.
  • Monitor pages you are not allowed to access, or where monitoring would breach the page owner's terms.
  • Place an unreasonable load on any third-party website or service.
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the Service without our written permission.
  • Interfere with or attempt to break the security of the Service.

We may set fair-use limits (for example, on how many pages you can monitor or how often we check them) to keep the Service reliable for everyone.

6. Plans, payment and cancellation

Some features may require a paid plan. Where they do, the price and what's included are shown before you buy. Paid plans renew automatically for the same period until you cancel. You can cancel future renewals at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you've already paid for.

If you are a consumer, you have a legal right to change your mind within 14 days of starting a paid plan (a "cooling-off period"). Because the Service is digital and access starts straight away, when you start a paid plan you ask us to begin providing it immediately and you accept that, if you cancel during the cooling-off period, we may charge you a fair amount for the part of the Service you've already used. Once a plan has been fully provided for a billing period, the cooling-off right for that period no longer applies. To exercise this right, just email [email protected].

7. Your content and our intellectual property

The URLs you choose to monitor, your settings, and your notification history remain yours. You grant us permission to process them only as far as we need to in order to run the Service for you. Everything else — the Service software, design, and branding — belongs to us or our licensors, and we grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use it while these terms are in force.

8. Availability and changes to the Service

We work to keep the Service available, but we don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may carry out maintenance or update features from time to time. If we plan a change that significantly reduces the Service, we'll give you reasonable notice where we can.

9. Disclaimers

Other than the rights you have by law, the Service is provided "as is". We don't guarantee that change detections are complete, timely, or error-free, or that the Service will meet a particular purpose you have in mind. This does not affect the statutory rights described in section 11.

10. Our responsibility to you

If we fail to comply with these terms, we're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach, but we're not responsible for any loss or damage that isn't foreseeable.

We do not exclude or limit our liability in any way where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law of England and Wales.

If you use the Service for business purposes, the following also applies: we exclude all implied warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law; we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, or loss of data; and our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of £100 or the fees you paid us during that period.

11. Your statutory rights

If you are a consumer, you have legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and other consumer-protection law — for example, that a service is carried out with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms affects those rights. For more information about your rights, contact your local Citizens Advice or Trading Standards office.

12. Privacy

We handle your personal information in line with our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect, why, and the rights you have over your data.

13. Suspension and termination

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if we're required to by law, or if we stop offering the Service — and, where it's reasonable to do so, we'll let you know first. If you've paid in advance for a period we can no longer provide, we'll refund the unused part unless you're in serious breach of these terms.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time — for example, to reflect new features or legal requirements. If a change materially affects you, we'll give you reasonable notice (such as by email or a notice in the app) before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated terms.

15. General

If any part of these terms is found to be invalid, the rest will still apply. If we don't enforce a right straight away, that doesn't mean we've given it up. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation, but this won't affect your rights.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you may bring a claim in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom where you live; otherwise, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.

17. How to contact us
